“Raká” es una película que cuenta la historia de los últimos habitantes rarámuri de un bosque de pino en la Sierra Tarahumara y su profunda conexión con el territorio, Miguel (78) y Rosa (76) se niegan a abandonar un bosque amenazado por la tala. En su vida diaria, esta pareja rarámuri conversa con los árboles, el agua y las nubes. En un mundo que le pone precio a los pinos, ellos les ponen nombre.
“Raká” is a film that tells the story of the last Rarámuri inhabitants of a pine forest in the Sierra Tarahumara and their deep connection to the land. Miguel (78) and Rosa (76) refuse to leave a forest threatened by logging. In their daily lives, this Rarámuri couple speaks with the trees, the water, and the clouds. In a world that assigns a price to the pines, they give them names.
